A healthy adult Golden Retrievers will weigh between 55 to 75 pounds, and males typically a little heavier. Goldens have a dense, water-repellent outer coat with a thick undercoat. Their coat color can range from light golden to dark golden. Their friendly wagging tails are always in motion!
Goldens have a thick coat that needs regular brushing, ideally 3x a week. This helps control shedding and keep it clean and healthy. Goldens can be heavy shedders, especially during spring and fall.
